Amy and Jonah had a beautiful day for their wedding! Blue skies, calm weather, loving family and friends, quaint decorations, and a ceremony that truly reflected their love for Christ and for each other! Amy's colors were coral and gold. Her simplistic elegance truly shined in each detail, from her gold jewelry to her white and pink bouquets. Their wedding took place in a small church in Dayton. This church was pastored by Amy's grandfather for several years before he passed away last year. Amy wanted him to do the ceremony, so it meant a great deal for their wedding to be in his church! Amy's other grandpa is a jeweler and custom made her gorgeous wedding ring! It sparkles constantly and the detail work is stunning! Their reception venue was at a nature reserve, absolutely perfect! We had such a beautiful environment for their portraits :). Jonah and Amy had a time of prayer before their ceremony, dedicating their day to the Lord.
It is always a huge honor to shoot a wedding for a friend! A few years ago, Amy and I worked at Scioto Hills Camp together. She was a counselor and I was a program assistant/intern. That summer we shared a common bond: we both were terrified of water. We had to jump into the lake every Friday night and Amy and I jumped in together, hand in hand, in hopes of overcoming our fear. Since then, I've had immense respect for Amy and have been privileged to see her grow through the challenges she faced that summer at camp.
Amy contacted me several months ago about her wedding, and I knew that their day would be FILLED to the brim with bringing honor to Christ. It was adorable to see how much Jonah loves his wife just by the way he looks at her! :) They will truly honor Christ by how they love each other.
Congratulations Amy and Jonah! Keep your eyes fixated on the Author and Perfecter of our faith!
