This past Christmas, Michael and I went to his home state to see his beloved family, explore the mountains, and soak in some REAL air and sunshine! When I was 18, I had the opportunity to go to Colorado, but I stayed in downtown Denver and missed the beauty of little towns and the mountains. Michael showed me all around his city and where he grew up. I have such a love for that beautiful place since it is so dear in my husband's heart!
We had one adventure after the other! We truly had the best time. From ice skating in the mountains, visiting the Botanical Gardens (talk about a temperature change...), walking around 16th street Mall, to spending the night at the Brown Palace (absolutely AMAZING), we left feeling like we were leaving home.
I hope these images allow you to catch a glimpse of Colorado's glory. I've never been anywhere that so clearly declares the glory of God. The mountains made my heart ache for the presence of God and made me rejoice in His grand creation and love for us.

We certainly went from one extreme to the other climate wise on this trip! :) Below is the Botanical Gardens.
We stayed the night at the Brown Palace in downtown Denver. That hotel is lost in time, absolutely perfect for wandering souls like ours.
Below is my favorite picture from the trip. Makes my soul ache and rejoice.
